#20: A Costly Commitment

As the design process typically goes, there have been some problems that have been arising. As of right now, I am having to work on making the designs more comprehensive because there are certain aspects that Mason cannot work with. And having to re-edit certain things has been admittedly very tedious.

One of the main things that Mason presses that I should use is Apple’s Human Design Interface Guidelines which ironically are notoriously not the easiest to understand and read. I have been doing my best to cooperate with his commands and am trying to stay open-minded about using Apple’s resources, however I don’t have much time to experiment with new resources given that I only have a few more months to complete this project. Anyways, I am currently working to meet Mason’s demands given that he ultimately is helping me with my project and I want this app to be the best it can be. Plus, being able to understand Apple’s Human Design Interface Guidelines will probably benefit me in the long-run as it can be a cheat sheet once I understand how to use the functions they provide on Sketch. Another issue which has arised is that I had not realized I was using Sketch’s free trial version and may have to scoff up some payment to be able to use the app monthly until my Final Product is finished. Along with the payments that I am having to make to Aniah for her artwork, this app is costing more than I had originally anticipated.

Irregardless of the money, I am happy that I am expanding my knowledge on design and that I get the opportunity to work with an artist, however, hopefully no major mishaps will happen from here until my Final Product is due. For now, all I can do is work until it becomes the app that I desire for it to be.
