This week in ISM was shorter than normal given that we had four days off this past weekend. This limiting obstacle required for me to figure out how to use my time wisely when in class.
I primarily, like always, continued my practice on the Google certificate. I went through my lessons of the new week and am currently attempting to better understand what exactly iteration entails. I am also beginning to dive deeper into UX such as how I am learning more about the steps to design thinking when creating wireframes. I am hoping that within a few weeks, I may even begin the process to construct a wireframe on my own. In comparison to last week, I have been putting forth even more time towards earning the certificate and am learning a lot of information in a relatively quick amount of time. Needless to say, I am very excited about the amount of progress I have been making towards the certification.
Another way I ensured my productivity this week was by working to update my website. Since my first blog, I had personally spent some time adjusting to the new look and function of my website now that the photography section of my site is sharing a platform with my ISM work. Thankfully, I don’t mind the integration of the two on one site and I am continually working to make the website as efficient and user-friendly as possible. I do, however, believe it will take some extra time and effort to make the website meet my high expectations. Otherwise, I am content with the status of my site as it is gradually growing with more of my work each week.
With consideration to the time-related limits of the week, I feel I have made an adequate amount of progress on my overall ISM work. In this upcoming week, I plan to begin brainstorming what I would like to submit for my Original Work Proposal, though, unfortunately, I do not have many ideas. However, my goal for next week is to have at least three brainstormed ideas or one solid idea as to what I will make my Original Work project over. As for right now, I will continue to work on my lessons and website along with other ISM weekly work. Luckily, this week I will actually have more time than the last.
